I am deeply saddened to learn of Dottie Rambo’s tragic death in a
bus accident yesterday near Mt. Vernon, Missouri. When Robbie Hiner
became the first artist to cover the Archers version of IT WOULDN’T BE
ENOUGH in 1975, he coupled it with Dottie’s tremendous gospel hit,
SHELTERED IN THE ARMS OF GOD. As a young songwriter, I couldn’t have
been more humbled to be mentioned in the company of this legendary
minister of song. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to Dony and
Reba Rambo-McGuire during this most difficult time.
